The game is literally not playable on AppleTV. There is no possible way to move the ship or aim using the AppleTV remote or a third party game controller. I tried reinstalling the app and signing out of GameCenter and the issue persists. I tried to contact Activision on Facebook where youre linked to when you click "support" but they havent responded to me. If someone from Activision can help me solve this issue Ill consider leaving a better review but for right now I literally cant play the game I paid for.

I have played Geometry Wars on my friends Xbox console in many years ago. It was a great game... Until I saw this version and having it available on Apple TV and iPad, I purchased it immediately. After playing it for several days, I was suddenly hooked and this game is really awesome to play with, especially with its stellar graphics and complex levels in Hardcore, Ultimate, and Adventure games. I truly enjoyed this game and whats even better, my gameplay in this game has improved dramatically, as I play better in this one than I did with Geometry Wars on Xbox!

This is hands down the best mobile game Ive ever played. I wasnt sure how well the controls for such an intense arcade shooterwould transfer to touch screen. The answer: perfectly. Exquisitely designed gameplay is intense, engaging. The abilities & upgrades system is perfectly balanced and useful. The various modes of gameplay that are thrown at you are challenging but the system rewards trial and error effort with extreme satisfaction. The only reason this is not a perfect mobile game: you cannot listen to any other audio while playing the game. The games music is excellent but after hours of gameplay Id love to switch it up, perhaps with my own music or a podcast. I suspect that this could be fixed relatively easily with a patch update. Please consider it, developers!

I installed Geometry wars, and the touch pad only controls firing, I cant figure out how to move. In the store the demo used the touch pad for movement. I am really confused and there are no Options for controls. But on my iPhone i can playing well

The Apple TV Siri remote doesnt work at all!! Fix this!

Love the game but the controls take some getting used to on the Apple TV version when using a third party controller. Please add the controller settings from the iOS version to the Apple TV version that allows for swapping the firing and moving on dual-stick controllers.

Graphics are Amazing, Levels are Challenging, Diversity is OUTSTANDING!! ( each lvl has its own idea and if repeated, they made it so its enjoyable! ) and each Boss is unique! ( they each have their own power ). This game deserves the stars for being a perfect game! Totally recommend this!

I liked the graphics but the topic was lame

If you plan to use this game with a controller with Apple TV, know that it has completely reversed controls. There is no way to change it or fix it, and support seems to be non-existent. Also - you cant use your phone as a controller. The apple remote works, but only with auto-aim/fire, which just isnt the same.

The developers werent creative almost every level was a stupid 1 life challenge like really who in their right mind thought that that was a good idea poor job in execution

Really pretty. Fun. Problems with control are typical of all 2 axis type controls. Trimming your thumbnails and using bursts (as opposed to trying to maintain a constant stream of fire - your thumb has a large contact area and thus precise control is difficult - so walking your fire into a moving target is difficult) might help. Could be a lot more precise, but its not supposed to be too easy, is it? TL,DR - if you liked robotron 2048, 1.99 is a good price point. And theres no IAP crap, which is a pleasant surprise from Activision. Addendum: playing on an iPad Air 2, only on level 4. Update: on iPad pro, gameplay is much improved. Controls are more responsive, graphics much crisper.

This is a great game, though with one major flaw. Local co-op on Apple TV seems to be quite broken. We connect two controllers, but we can’t tell it to drop the remote as a player. Neither do the B buttons on the controllers drop a player despite the “B Quit” displayed for those players. Once we start the game, only one controller seems to work. I could find no support area on the publisher’s or the developer’s web site. So, no way to find out if there is a workaround or even report the issue. This is really a shame, because Geometry Wars local co-op is (potentially) one of the few really good multiplayer games on the Apple TV.

Do not buy if you have a 6S Plus, it crashes when starting Adventure and when you finish a round of retro evolved. That was all discovered within minutes, cant imagine what else is broken on it.

Overall good game, but try to include multiplayer for iPhones or other devices so it can be more fun
